"I made this soup yesterday and loved it! I had to add salt and pepper, to taste, and then added a few dashes of hot sauce, to bring out the flavor. My husband really liked it, too. I'm hoping it freezes well, since this recipe makes so much."- Marilyn159

skot0123 5 days 8 hours agoI used chicken stock instead of water and I added smoke sausage. Everyone liked it but next time I will only blend a portion and will mash the rest. The texture was too creamy blended.

platinumdiva 10 months agoPretty good, I added red pepper flakes and seasoned salt. Pretty good soup for a minimal amount of work. Also topped with cheddar cheese.

BrenzGamez 1 year agoWe really enjoyed this soup. The first time I made it I blended like suggested but my husband thought it was too creamy so the second time I used a potato masher to break down the big chunks. It turned out great!

dustinhood 2 years agoIt was okay, I'm looking for something that has more substance and not so chunky potato in cream bath. It takes good, but I doctored it up with seasonings too. But it was good, just not what I was looking for.
MrsAmberMW 2 years agoYUM, added some hotsauce and cooked bacon while it was in the crockpot. Delish!

HONYDO 2 years agoTHIS WAS VERY GOOD. A KEEPER FOR ME FOR THOSE COLD DAYS COMING AHEAD. I USED A BAG OF CHEDDAR CHEESE (SHREDDED). INSTEAD OF THE CANNED CHEESE.

Jlybn120 2 years agoI have a recipe similar to this that calls for 1-2 bags of frozen cubed hashbrowns instead of cutting up potatoes. It's delicious too!
