2.5 cupsFlour
1 teaspoonSalt
0.5 teaspoonbaking soda
1 teaspoonbaking powder
4 tablespoonshortening
1 cupButtermilk

Mama Fowler's Buttermilk Biscuits Preparation

Preheat the oven to 450 degrees. Sift flour and measure. Then sift again with salt, soda, and baking powder. Cut in the shortening. Pour in buttermilk and mix just till blended. (Some people knead biscuits. If you do this, you will have a more bready product.) Roll out dough and cut using a glass or cookie cutter. Put biscuits on a greased cookie sheet and bake for about ten minutes.

There's no amount listed for the baking POWDER in the ingredients list, yet, it's referenced in the instructions!

If you eat too many biscuits, your tail end will grow. So be careful. I will post my apple butter recipe under an alias because posting them together would be harmful to your waistline. [I posted this recipe.]
