Steak Marinade

Steak Marinade

Ready in 6 hours

This is a bold and garlicky marinade good for steaks and beef ribs during the summer or whenever you're entertaining.

"My mother loved this so much she actually made toast and dipped it in the marinade. But my advice is use a really strong dark beer or even an ale try blue moon. It will foam and look weird when you first poor the beer in but it rocks. "

Are you making this?
1 cup soy sauce; or teriyaki sauce.
1 bottle beer.
3/4 cup extra virgin olive oil.
6 cloves garlic.
3 tablespoons oregano or italian spice.
2 tablespoons brown sugar.
1 tablespoon meat tenderizer

Original recipe makes 4

Mix all ingredients together in a bowl or large measuring cup. Cover and let sit for several hours. If making steak, liberally puncture steaks with fork or tenderizer. Ribs will soak up enough on their own. Pour marinade into a gallon ziplock bag and add steaks or ribs, squeezing out as much air as possible. Let sit for three or four hours, then cook as you would normally.

Smells REAL funny but I'm trying it anyway, could be the beer, but they're cooking right now and cut off a little piece and it smells WHACK and tastes, weird...uh oh!

Delicious! I added liquid smoke to get the smokey flavor I love, as well as chopped shallots, then followed the recipe for pan seared ribeye with mustard sauce. Truly the best steak I ever cooked!

Just made this yesterday. Marinated for about 8 hours in the fridge and cooked on the bbq. Very flavorful and tender steak. Everyone enjoyed it.
