I got this recipe from a very nice Armenian lady on the bus this morning, whilst trying to figure out what to make for my son Spane's birthday party.

Ingredients

Original recipe makes 6
1 bagspinach leaves; washed, dried and torn
1 boxstrawberries; washed, hulled and sliced
2 apple; chopped
1/4 cupWalnuts; chopped
1 tablespoonBalsamic vinegar
1 tablespoonRaspberry Syrup
1 teaspoonRose Syrup
1 bottleGirrards White Balsamic Salad Dressing

Spane's Spinach Salad Preparation

Slice the strawberries. Mix the vinegar, raspberry and rose syrups together. Pour this over the strawberries and marinate in the refrigerator for at least one hour.

Combine the spinach, apple, walnuts and strawberries. Toss with the prepared salad dressing.

I made this last night for a crowd. It was wonderful. You can find Rose Syrup in Armenian stores, and some gourmet stores. The rose syrup is also good added to lemonade. [I posted this recipe.]
