Malva Pudding

Recipes »  Desserts  »  Custards and Puddings

Talk about South African cuisine and you?ll think of Malva pudding for dessert. Malva Pudding is a sweet pudding, usually served hot with custard, cream or ice-cream. It is made with fairly simple ingredients and has a cake texture. The sauce that is added afterwards is what makes this pudding such a favourite. Also known as the Jan Ellis-, Scotish cream- and brown pudding.

"So easy to make with ingredients you already have. Just take care not to beat the batter to long. The pudding can be made a day before - it tastes even better!" - Grobant
