1 largebrown onion; (chopped finely)

1 tblsolive oil
3 large
1 49.5-oz canchicken broth
2 canschicken broth
1 pintheavy whipping cream
8 ozwde noodles
1 smallportabello mushrooms
salt; to taste

Dad's semi-homemade chicken noodle soup Preparation

Boil salted water for noodles. When water approaches boiling, saute onions, carrots, and celery in olive oil until soft. Move vegetables to side of pan. Add chicken pieces. Brown chicken pieces while noodles are cooking. Add mushrooms. Once mushrooms begin to cook, add chicken broth. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and add cream. Simmer for about 10 mins until noodles are done cooking. Drain noodles, add to soup, and cook for about 5 mins.
