A easy and simple bite sized dessert.

"WOW....Fabulous! I served these at a dinner party and my guests could not get enough. I did add 2 extra tbs of confectioners sugar and used almond extract. After a few times of using a knife to make a hole in the berries, I decided to use the small end of a melon ball scoop and it worked perfectly. Will definately be making again soon."

24 largestrawberries; hulls removed
12 ouncescream cheese; at room temperature
1 teaspoonvanilla; (can substitute with orange or almond)
3 tablespoonsconfectioners sugar
1/2 lbdark chocolate flakes

Stuffed Strawberries Preparation

Place cream cheese in a bowl, and microwave for 30 seconds, so that it's soft.

Whip together the cream cheese, vanilla, and sugar.

In the center of each strawberry, using a sharp knife, make a hole in each one, as deep as you can without going out the bottom.

Spoon or pipe the filling into each hole.

Dip cheesecake end of strawberry into chocolate flakes making sure you completely cover the cheesecake filling with chocolate

(another twist is to dip them in melted chocolate/white chocolate and then nuts)

Lay strawberries in a pretty serving dish.

Sprinkle with any leftover chocolate

Chill, and serve.

I loved these. They came together quickly, though I would serve them the same day, my berries became a bit mushy after a day in the fridge.

I make these ALL THE TIME. Just make sure you use Philadelphia Cream Cheese (not low fat) or they wont taste right. Sometimes more powdered sugar is needed.

So yummy! I also added a little more sugar and dipped half the strawberry in chocolate :) then I crushed graham crackers and dipped the top in that. I ended up having a lot of extra filling...no problem, just got more strawberries!!:)
