| 1 lbpork sausage |
| 1 largeOnion; chopped |
| 1 largegreen pepper; chopped |
| 2 ribsribs celery; chopped, (up to 3) |
| 1 15.5-oz cankidney beans |
| 1 15.5-oz canchili beans |
| 1 29-oz cantomato puree |
| 1 6-oz cantomato paste |
| 2 clovesGarlic; minced |
| 2 tbspchili powder |
| 2 tspsalt |
Slow-Cooker Chili Preparation
1. Brown ground beef and sausage in skillet. Drain.
2. Combine all ingredients in slow cooker.
3. Cover. Cook on Low 8-10 hours.
Variations:
1. For extra flavor, add 1 tsp. cayenne pepper.
2. For more zest, use mild or hot Italian sausage.
3. Top individual servings with shredded sharp cheddar cheese, sliced onions or oyster crackers.
