Crunchy and moorish. Can be sticky but truly irresistible . Perfect treat to take off the hungry feeling between meals. Good source of fiber depending on which porridge oats used.

Need a good set of teeth for these- a firm favorite of mine when visiting my Uncle Victor and Aunty Joyce.

Original recipe makes 8
6 ozmargarine
3 ozwhite sugar or caster sugar
1 tablespoongolden syrup
8 can; use high fiber oats as a substitute

Flap Jacks Preparation

Melt margarine, syrup and sugar on a very low heat in a medium saucepan.

Lightly grease a swiss roll tin.

When well combined then press firmly into a swiss roll tin.

Bake at 350 gas or electric. No need to preheat oven.

Bake for 20 minutes until firm.

It is trial and error with this depending on how soft or hard you like flab jack. For me, it was easier when slightly undercooked and was delightfully chewy. [I posted this recipe.]
