Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Well grease a 13 x 9" pan
Melt 1 1/2 Tbls shortening in a large saucepan. Stir in 2 1/2 Tbls flour. When well blended slowly add 3 cups of chicken broth (homemade or canned), stirring constantly. Cook until thickened. Remove from heat and let cool slightly. Layer bread crumbs/chicken in pan (like lasagna). Pour broth mixture over top. Sprinkle with more crumbs then bake 45 minutes until golden brown and slightly crispy.
