Classic quick bread for dinner or breakfast
"These are what us English call Yorkshire pancakes and they should ideally eaten with a roast dinner covered in gravy. To make them more exciting add some sage and black pepper to the mix for a savory taste

Preheat oven to 450 F.
Mix together first 3 ingredients.
Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition. (Use a handmixer, or an old fashioned rotary egg beater.)
Pour into buttered custard cups, filling 3/4 full. Place cups on baking sheet.
Bake for 25 minutes at 450, don't open the oven!
Reduce heat to 350, don't open the oven! Bake another 20 minutes.
Batter will rise and pop over the top of the cups. These bake best if the cups are not crowded close together on the baking sheet.

Bradorge1 1 year agoThese are Yorkshire puddings to go with a roast beef dinner. We make them by heating a little oil in a Yorkshire pud/cake tray till smoking hot, cook in hot oven till they rise and crisp, lovely!!!!

sdw09 1 year agoGreat recipe. In fact, my 6 year old loves to watch the pop overs fall after you take them out of the oven. These did not fall and my son was upset. Lol. They tasted great too. Thank you.
