Original recipe makes 6
4 mediumEggs
1 cupBrown sugar
1/4 cupButter; melted
3/4 cupLight corn syrup
1/4 teaspoonSalt
1 tablespoonVanilla
1/2 cupPecans; chopped
1/3 cupPecans; halved

Esther's Award Winning Pecan Pie Filling Preparation

Beat eggs then stir-in sugar, butter, syrup, salt, and vanilla.

Sprinkle chopped pecans onto pie crust and pour mixture over pecans.

Arrange pecans around edge of filling.

Bake at 400 degrees for 15 minutes, then reduce heat to 350 degrees and bake for 45 minutes.
