Original recipe makes 12
| 5 cansevaporated milk |
| 5 canswater; (use the empty evaporated milk can as a measure) |
| 3/4 cupcocoa; (dilute in some of the milk) |
| 8 ozbaking chocolate |
| 2 tbspcorn starch; (dilute in a little water or milk) |
| 3/4 cupSugar |
| 1 tspvanilla extract |
| 1 tspbutter; (for shine) |
Chocolate de Navidad Preparation
Shave or grate the chocolate. Bring milk and water to a boil. Whisk in the cocoa, baking chocolate, sugar, and vanilla. Simmer, then add the corn starch, when thickened, remove from heat and add the butter. Serve hot.
