Bvanhoogten , 2 years agoThis is how I make my mac n cheese and everybody loves it. I am always asked to bring it to potlucks or holiday get togethers. I add dehydrated onion, about a tablespoon, to the cheese while melting on the stove and i crush ritz crackers or club crackers over the top before baking. This is sooo good.
kristiolsonjones , 2 years agoI liked it okay but the kids and husband did not. It wasn't great. The cheese was not the normal Mac and cheese flavor. I won't make it again.
sarastoinski , 3 years agoVery tasty! Will definitely make again. I added Panko breadcrumbs to the top and skipped the olive oil.

ggrinst , 3 years agoThis is definitely the BEST mac n cheese recipe ever! The last time I made it, I didn't have the fontina cheese so I just doubled up on the others and it was still great with just a little less bite to it. I also had some leftover topping I had made with a can of onion rings sauted lighltly with pecans and threw that on top - WOW !! It was awesome. Now we take the leftovers and add leftover ham (for the meat lovers in the fam) and it's great. it's become a "go to" meal for me monthly!!
MTVicki , 3 years agoVery, very good. I used Swiss, white American, parmesan and sharp cheddar cheeses because that is what I had on hand. I added cubed ham.

Blancosbows , 3 years agoHalf & half is a type of liquid cream. Comes in a paper milk carton in the dairy section. Makes things creamier & richer.

longhorn_chef , 3 years agoI did this mac & cheese and it truly was awesome! My family of foodies ate this up and there wasn't enough to go around because of how quickly it went! I'm making this again for Thanksgiving. Delicious!
ggrinst , 3 years agoI've been experimenting with m&cheese recipes and this is best!! Made it for a group of friends and it disappeared!! These 4 cheeses are the best combination of flavors. Yoy cant go wrong with this one!!

Nahoom1 , 3 years agoAbsolutely Fantastic, no more boxed Mac and Cheese for us, I added Diced Ham and forgot to put in Worchestershire Sauce, it was still very good.

kenandmelissa , 3 years agoThis was truly one of the best mac and cheese ever. I cut the receipe in half to make for my fiance and I last night and it worked out nicely. I would recommend using very little olive oil w/ the pasta because the cheese used is already a very oily cheese. Next time we're going to try it w/ gouda in place of the gruyere for a different taste. Happy cooking :0)
Senisote , 4 years agoI used mozzarella and provolone Cheese instead of fontina and gruyere cheese and It was still great.
