I used a third of a teaspoon of dried thyme. Worked fine.

Loved it. Wish I would have found this when I was pregnant, I would crave green beans with a lot of butter. This would have been much healthier. And my daughter is now 1yr and a few months she really like them too she ate several. Thanks for sharing.

Great easy green bean recipe. Can use a hint of parmesan cheese to compliment the sour of the lemon.

This recipe is great! I only did 1/2 the butter and twice the lemon though. PS.. it took 30 minutes to cook though!

@Flinthart-Thanks for pointing that out. Not sure how the vegan tag got there but it's now been removed. This recipe would be just as good with olive oil instead of butter so I hope you give it a try. Thanks again!

Ok, I've never had results like this sauteeing green beans. They usually don't have a very pleasant texture. This technique made a great difference. I actually didn't have thyme or parsley, so I used some fresh dill. I also used garlic powder instead of fresh. Stil amazing. Thanks!
