Pizzelles From Angelett

Pizzelles From Angelett

Ready in 45 minutes

This is another family favorite, Pizzelles with lots of anise.

You can use any flavoring or extract, almond, lemon, orange etc. or anise seed

"Definitely five stars here. I will make these tasty Pizzelles for years to come.
They are so good, you can't eat just one!"

Ingredients

Are you making this?
6 Eggs
1 1/2 cups Sugar
1 1/2 cups Butter or Margarine; Melted
2 1/2 cups Flour
2 teaspoons Baking Powder
4 teaspoons Vanilla
4 teaspoons Anise Extract

Original recipe makes 60

Servings

Preparation

Add ingredients in order listed mixing well after each addition. Be sure the butter is not too hot before adding. If you like thicker pizzelles then increase the flour to 3 cups. I find that 2 1/2 cups works great for large eggs. You can use less Anise Extract, my family and I like them with a lot of anise flavor. Heat the pizzelle waffle maker and drop spoonfuls in the middle of the grill and cook 2 at a time for about 1 minute until golden brown. I trim the excess of the edges with a pizza cutter. You can sprinkle with confectioners sugar if you like.
