Garbanzo Bean (Chick Pea) Stew
|1 15.5-oz canGarbanzo Beans|
|0.5 Spanish Chorizo Sausage|
|3 tablespoonsPotatoes; Diced|
|0.25 headGreen Cabbage; (Chopped)|
|1 Ham Hawk|
|2 cupsChicken Broth|
|0.5 cupGreen Bell Pepper|
|0.5 cupRed Bell Pepper|
|2 tablespoonsGarlic; (crushed and minced)|
|1 packetSazon Goya w/ Culantro & Annatto|
Garbanzo Bean (Chick Pea) Stew Preparation
In a medium/large pot combine water, chicken broth, sazon, cabbage, chorizo, garbanzo beans, bacon, ham hawk, potatoes, and chopped vegetables with garlic.
Bring to a boil for 1 minute then reduce heat to low.
Let simmer until Garbanzos are tender approx. 20-30 minutes.
Enjoy alone as soup/stew or serve over white rice.
Salt and Pepper to taste if needed.
Sazon (1 1/4 tsp equals one packet of Sazon in recipe.)
1 tsp Salt
1 tsp Garlic Powder
1 tsp Cumin
1 tsp Coriander
1 tsp Annatto
