Tangy Chicken Drumsticks
"A heads up to those using this as a main dish for adults. The serving size listed is misleading. A serving size should be at least 2-3 legs per person and that's even with side veggies and bread.
This is much like a recipe my mom made up when I was a kid. To follow her version more closely, I added ginger slices and a lot more garlic. This makes it more flavorful and more Chinese-style. I boiled cauliflower and cabbage on the side and they both go well dressed with the extra sauce from the chicken. "- valopy

Preheat oven to 375. Place the chicken legs in a 9x13 baking dish. Mix all ingredients in a bowl and pour evenly over chicken legs. Bake for approximately 1 hour.
**I use drumsticks but any type of chicken can be used.

shaylashiera 1 month agoI've made this recipe a few times, and always a bit different. Used drummies the first time, breast filets the second time, and just recently I made a whole chicken in my slow cooker with this sauce! I think that was by far my favorite. I also ran out of soy sauce so I made up for it with a touch of teriyaki sauce, and I usually throw in some onion powder and Italian seasoning. Over all one of my favorite chicken recipes as I can whip it up in moments and it is always amazing!!!!
Jackiechan042003 2 months agoSo good! I made the mistake of putting them on a baking sheet instead of a glass dish so the pan kept curling in the heat and the sauce kept moving around (my bad!) but it was still super delicious over rice :)

jhp696969 3 months agoAdded some minced ginger, crushed red pepper, and a pinch of Chinese five spice to recipe it was remarkable, Great base recipe to add your own flair to. Even tasty just Following recipe above, however I always tweak a recipe for the days mood.
