Original Dave Recipe
Fry onion in olive oil till translucent. Add chicken broth, butter, onion soup mix, water, bacon bits, Odobo Seasoning and pepper. Bring to a rolling boil, reduce to a simmer and add potatoes. Cook till potatoes are done.
Top with a dollop of sour cream and a sprinkling of shredded cheddar cheese.
This is best if you leave the peels on the potatoes as long as they are not baking potatoes since the skins will get tough.
