Cajun Chicken Pasta

Cajun Chicken Pasta

Ready in 45 minutes

Serve up a spicy dinner for two with this hot and creamy linguini tossed with an eye-opening blend of chicken strips sauteed with Cajun seasoning, colorful bell peppers, mushrooms and onions. Cream, basil, lemon pepper and garlic powder finish the sauce.

"Great Recipe! i made my own changes but could have never done it without this recipe. Here is what I changed (family loved it!!) ... i needed to make more so i doubled the recipe and i used 2 cups of heavy cream and 1 cup of regular milk.... I used shrimp instead of chicken adding the shrimp after sauté of vegetables. I added a few caps of liquid crab to the water when boiling the noodles. After i mixed the noodles and the sauce together i added a 3oz can of parmesan cheese and mixed well. This was awesome! Crab boil gives it that cajun kick! "

Amazing. I do add a little cornstarch, a little cream cheese, some red pepper flakes, and a little shredded cheese. Honestly though, it is still great without it, I just like to make it a little bit my own. :) My husband and I have this once a month.

My husband and friends love this. That being said I doubled the cajun spices as we like it spicy. I used less salt and, while the mushrooms are missing from ungredient list, its no bug deal. Its just as good w/o mushrooms. As with any recipe, I add and change things by 'playing'with it, makes it more 'my own.'

Great recipe. I substituted 1/3 of the heavy cream for cream cheese and added some corn starch to thicken. I also doubled the Cajun spice as others suggested and it came out with a great flavor. I might reduce the salt next time as I think there was enough in the Cajun spice I used. I also added cayenne pepper so it was very spicy which suited our tastes. Very easy and fast for after work.

Made this tonight and my hubby and I loved it, will definitely make it again. I used more Cajun seasoning than it said and it was so good. I love the Cajun pasta at BJ's Brewhouse and this was similar and just as good!
