Drain pineapple, reserve 3/4 cup syrup. Melt margarine in 10" skillet. Blend in brown sugar. Remove from heat. Arrange pineapple in sugar mixture. Place a cherry in center of each pineapple slice.
Prepare cake according to package directions, replacing milk with reserved pineapple syrup. Pour batter over pineapples.
Bake in 350F, 45-50 minutes until cake tests done. Cool 5 minutes. Invert onto servign plate. Serve warm.
