Best Waffles Ever

Recipes »  Breakfast  »  Waffles

This recipe produces light, crisp, slightly moist, seriously delicious waffles. 'Nuff said.

-From Better Homes and Gardens Recipes

"I've always had great results with Better Homes and Gardens recipes, so when this one was posted today, I had to give it a try. There isn't anything fancy about these, just really good basic waffles that were easy to make and delicious...perfect for everyday use! I followed the instructions exactly and the results were wonderful. Light, fluffy waffles that were crisp on the outside, moist on the inside, and tasted great. Next time, I will probably try adding a half teaspoon or more of vanilla extract, just because our family loves vanilla." - sgrishka

Made a great waffle. Light and crispy. I used melted butter in place of the canola oil. Great flavor. Even without the addition of sugar it was not to sweet but not bland either. Give these a try.

I have been using this recipe for over 30 years. I love it, it takes time to separate eggs And beat the egg whites, but it's totally worth it. You get waffles that are crisp on the outside, light and fluffy on the inside.

They're not bad but I could really taste the oil in these. Maybe use butter instead? Nice color and texture. Added vanilla. They were also a bit bland, maybe sugar?
