Crock Pot Mac and Cheese

Crock Pot Mac and Cheese

Ready in 45 minutes

easy, make ahead, everyone loves

"I made this Mac and cheese for thanksgiving and my family devoured it!!! It was amazing! Cook the noodles at aldente, then cook the whole thing on very low setting. If you do not, it will seperate/curdle. I also like to add a bit of pepper jack as it kicks up the flavor. My family asks for this all the time. I literally have to deny them or they would just eat this!"

I didn't enjoy this recipe at all. There was no flavor and it wasn't a creamy Mac and cheese.

I would probably only half cook the macaroni before throwing it into the slowcooker... they ended up super mushy. Even then, the flavor wasn't great. I will keep looking for a great mac and cheese recipe.

It was ok. It cooked fine but all the noodles just broke down into the cheese. I would definitely recommend adding them later on in the slow cooker.

We doubled this recipe and it fit into a large crock pot just fine. We served it at our Wednesday Night Dinner, and it was all eaten by the end of the meal. I was disappointed in the taste, but everyone seemed to enjoy the dish. I will try a higher quality cheese if I do decide to attempt this again. One of the better slow cooker recipes for mac and cheese that I have tried, but I will keep looking all the same.
