5 TButter
1 cOnion; chopped
2 clovesGarlic; minced
1 14.5 oz canPlum tomatoes; diced
2 4 oz cansMushrooms; sliced and drained
1/2 tTarragon
1/2 tDried basil
1/2 tSugar
1 1/4 tSalt; divided
2 1/2 cCooked chicken
2 cHalf-and-half cream
3 TFlour
1/2 cDry white wine
3 cMozzarella or Swiss; shredded
8 ozLasagna noodles; cooked
3/4 cParmesan cheese; grated

Creamy Chicken Lasagna Preparation

Heat oven to 350?. Grease 9X13" pan. Melt 2 T. of butter in large skillet over medium heat. Add chopped onions and garlic; cook 3-5 min or until onions are transparent. Add tomatoes, mushrooms, tarragon, basil, sugar, and 1/4 t. salt. Simmer 4-6 min. or until sauce thickens. Stir in chicken.

Melt rest of butter in medium saucepan over med heat. Stir in flour and rest of salt; cook 2 min. Stir in half & half cream; cook and stir 5-6 minutes or until slightly thickened. Stir in wine. Bring to boil and remove from heat.

Spoon 1/3 of tomato sauce into bottom of prepared pan. Cover with 1/3 of white sauce. Top with 1 c. of grated cheese; cover with 1/2 of lasagna noodles. Repeat. Top with last of red sauce and white sauce and remaining cup of cheese. Sprinkle with Parmesan.

Bake 40-45 minutes or until heated through and light golden brown. Let stand 15 minutes before serving.
