| 1/3 cupmargarine/butter |
| 1 cupraisins or chopped dates; (optional) |
| 1 tspbaking soda |
| 1/4 cupmolasses |
| 1 cupboiling water |
| 1 cupFlour |
| 1 cupbran |
| 1/3 cupbrown sugar |
| 1 beaten egg |
| 3/4 tspSalt |
Favorite Bran Muffins Preparation
Place margarine, fruit, soda, molasses in a small bowl. Pour boiling water over all and let cool to medium warm.
Stir together dry ingredients and beaten egg.
Pour wet ingredients over flour/bran mixture and stir to combine.
Place in greased muffin tins. Bake at 375 x 12-15 minutes. Do not over bake.
