Ingredients

4 large yams
3/4 cup sugar
1 dash salt
4 tbs butter
1/2 cup heavy cream
cinnamon
pecans

Preparation

Butter 9x13 pan. Peel and cut yams into french fry strips. Add sugar, salt and cream. Dot with butter. Bake at 450 degrees for about 45 minutes. Pecans may be used as topping. Baked covered with aluminum foil for half the baking time. Remove foil and add cinnamon and pecans. Continue baking uncovered.
