Recipes »  Main Dish  »  Pizza and Calzones

This is so easy. Just a few ingredients and pop it in the oven. Im adding my pizza dough recipe, or you can use or buy your own.

"We made a couple of these pizzas last night.
Used a spicy bbq sauce on the base and had sauteed the onion with some smoked skinless sausage and a diced green pepper. Sprinkled the pulled chicken pieces across it and topped with cheese...got comliments all round.
Was much better than most "chain" pizzaz i thought...and can be modified any way you want." - trooper57

Brush BBQ sauce on pizza dough.

Sprinkle chicken on dough and add cheeses and top with sliced onions. Bake at 375 for about 20 minutes.

To make Pizza dough, mix 2 cups bread flour, 1 tsp. salt, 1 Tbls. white sugar, 2 Tbls. Dry milk powder 1 Tbls. softened butter 1 1/4 tsp. active dry yeast, and 3/4 c.very warm water. I mix everything in my Kitchenaid Mixer and knead till smooth. Let rise for about 30 minutes. Then roll out on a lightly greased cookie sheet. This makes a very large pizza.

Just had this for dinner. Delish!! An even faster way that I made was buying the pillsbury pizza dough in a can and a tub of Llyod's pulled BBQ chicken ( or Curly's ). I was torn to either sauté the onions first or not. But I left them raw. Had a GREAT crunch to them!

I slice my onion so thin, that I don't need to saute it beforehand. Thanks to all! I posted this recipe!

Wonderful! The only thing I did differnt was sautee the onions before adding them. It was easy and very good. I would recommend a honey or hawaiin BBQ sauce. Thank you!!
