16 asparagus spears; trimmed
3 tbspextra virgin olive oil
1 tbspsoy sauce
3 clovesgarlic; minced
2 tsphoney
2 tbsprice wine vinegar
salt and pepper

Grilled Asparagus Preparation

Blanch asparagus and drain. Combine oil, garlic, honey, soy sauce, and vinegar. Place asparagus in resealable bag and pour sauce over asparagus. Let marinade for a brief period in refrigerator. Remove to grill and heat flame, turning frequently until lightly charred. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Sooooo good!! My boyfriend commented 'this is the best asparagus I've ever had.' I didn't put them directly on the grill, I put them in a pie tin on the grill and they turned out great.

My kids think asparagus tastes like pee. I was surprised when I looked at their plates and they had some on them to begin with & then doubley surprised when they plates where empty. Good stuff.

This was delicious. I might try sesame oil next time instead of olive oil. I made this with the Dark Balsamic Soy Grilled Salmon and mashed potatoes and it made a great combo.
