This has been an abolute hit with everyone to whom I've ever served it. It's sort of like a Frito Pie, with a few twists. I guess you could call it Southwestern comfort food.
Brown ground beef (or turkey) in a large skillet and drain.
Add onion and cook briefly, to soften.
Add tomatoes and green chiles, chili mix, and beans, and corn and simmer for 15 minutes.
Add cheese and cream and simmer for 5 minutes.
To serve, in serving bowls, crumble some tortilla chips into each bowl, pour mixture over it, and eat. Mmm, mmm, good!
This may also be used as a hearty appetizer by serving in a chafing dish and with a basket of tortilla chips for dipping.
