1 boxDuncan Hines Yellow Cake Mix; (Butter Recipe)
8 oz.Ocean Spray Cran Fruit cranberry orange
3 packagesCream Cheese
1/2 cupbutter; (1 stick)
2 1/2 cupsPowdered Sugar
1 tspVanilla

Semi-Homemade Cran Orange Cake Preparation

Mix yellow cake mix as directed on box and separate into 3 8 or 9 inch round baking pans. Bake for 28 minutes at 350.

Filling: Mix one 8 oz package of cream cheese (softened), 8 to 12 oz (one container)- depending on desired thickness of filling - of Cran Fruit Cranberry Orange, and 1/2 cup of powdered sugar until combined. Refrigerate while cake is baking. (If you like a smoother filling, puree the cran-fruit before mixing). Layer filling between cake rounds.

Icing: Mix two 8 oz packages of cream cheese (softened), 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter (softened), 2 cups powdered sugar and 1 tsp vanilla. Frost outside of cake.

Chill cake 2 hours to overnight before serving.

    Key is to mix in cranfruit in smaller amounts to get the consistency you want for the filling and to give some chilling time to the filling, icing, and overall cake at each stage to let them firm up. [I posted this recipe.]
