Ingredients

3 tablespoon Butter
3 tablespoon All purpose flour
1 1/2 tablespoon Salt
1/8 teaspoon Pepper
2 cup milk
1 cup Cheddar; shredded
5 cup Potato; thinly sliced
1/2 cup Onion; chopped

Preparation

In a large saucepan, melt butter over low hear. Stir in the flour, salt and pepper until smooth. Gradually add milk. Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened. Remove from the heat; stir in cheese until melted. Add potatoes and onion; stir well.

Transfer to a greased 2-qt baking dish. Cover and back at 350? for 1 hour. Uncover; back 30-40 minutes longer or until the potatoes are tender.

I added dried breadcrumbs on top during the last 20 minutes and reduced the salt.

Awesome potatoes! I cut the salt in half after reading other reviews, turned out very good!

This recipe was VERY SALTY!!!! We could not eat these potatoes! If I was to try this again I would cut out the salt altogether!
