Original recipe makes 4
1 1/2 cupsmilk
3/4 cupfrozen green peas
3/4 cupfrozen carrots; sliced or diced
1 cupcooked chicken; about 5 ounces cut up
1 cancondensed creamy chicken soup
1 cupOriginal Bisquick
1/3 cupmilk
1/2 teaspoonPepper
Parsley; chopped if desired

Chicken and Black Pepper Dumplings (7.5 Pts) Preparation

Heat 1 1/2 cups milk, the peas, carrots, chicken and soup to boiling in3-quart saucepan.

Mix Bisquick, 1/3 cup milk and the pepper until soft dough forms. Dropdough by 8 spoonfuls onto chicken mixture.

Cook uncovered over low heat 10 minutes. Cover and cook 10 minuteslonger. Sprinkle with parsley.

1 Serving: 320 calories (115 calories from fat); 13 g fat (4 g saturated);40 mg cholesterol; 1080 mg sodium; 35 g carbohydrate (2 g dietary fiber); 18g protein.

NOTES : Rolled dumplings are a traditional favorite of African Americans.This round drop version is easy to prepare and has a slightlydifferent texture, but with the addition of pepper, they keep theirspunk!
