Original recipe makes 4
1 cupCorn meal; white
2 cupsWater
1 teaspoonSalt
1 cupWater; cold
Oil; enough to deep fry

Hot Water Corn Bread Preparation

Bring the 2 cups of water to a rolling boil. Combine the cornmeal and salt in a bowl... add the boiling water to the dry mixture. Stirring til it can be formed into balls. Dip your hands into the cold water and then pat out patties out of the cornmeal mixture. Make sure your oil is hot enough to fry and slowly add the patties. Cook until golden brown and floating. I use my fry baby to cook this but can be done on stove top as well.
