This is a version my daughter and I came up with to come as close as we could to a popular chain resturant

Yield: 8 Ready in 1 hours, 30 minutes

Original recipe makes 8
poundGround beef
1 cupOnion; diced
1 cupCarrot; julienned
1 cupCelery; chopped
2 clovesGarlic; minced
2 14.5-oz cansTomato
1 15-oz cansRed Kidney beans
1 15-oz cansGreat Northern Beans
1 can (15 oz)Tomato sauce
1 12-oz cansV8 juice
1 tbsWhite vinegar
1 1/2 teaspoonsSalt
1 teaspoonOregano
1 teaspoonBasil
1/2 teaspoonPepper
1/2 teaspoonThyme
1 teaspoonHot pepper flakes
2 dashesHot sauce
1/2 poundDitali Pasta

Pasta E Fagioli Soup Preparation

Brown Meat. Drain

Add onion,carrot, celery and garlic and saute for 10 min

Add remaining ingredients, except pasta, and simmer for 1 hour

About 50 minutes into simmering cook pasta in seperate pot for 10 or al dente. Drain

Add pasta to the large pot of soup. Simmer for 10 min, Serve
