This apple crisp is a favorite in our household and I'm sure once you try it you will agree. Oh, and don't forget the vanilla ice cream or whipped topping!
"I doubled the ingredients to use a 9x13 baking dish and make this more moist (except I only increased the apples from 6 to 9). It was the first time I made it - delicious and decadent - my husband loved it! I used granny smith apples to contrast the sweet with some tartness - yummy. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Place the sliced apples in an 8 or 9-inch baking pan. Sprinkle with water and lemon juice.
In a small bowl, combine the remaining ingredients until crumbly. Sprinkle the crumbly mixture evenly over the apples.
Bake at 375 degrees for 40-45 minutes or until apples are tender.

1Chefarmiller 1 month agoI've made this 3 times and it turns out delicious every time. I doubled the topping on the last batch and cooked it a extra 10 minutes and it was great.
brandyymarie 1 month agoMade it last night and it was a huge hit! Tastes just like the warm apple crumble a la mode thing at red lobster, but better! Paired it with vanilla ice cream and my boyfriend and I were in heaven! Definitely will make again!

kirstin_kuchta 3 months agoThe apples tasted amazing before I made this dish. The cooked apples are now sour, not sure if it is the type of apple, or what went wrong. I would definitely be willing to try the recipe with a different type of apple!
Unome 5 months agoI added chopped pecans and drizzled the top with caramel topping after it cooled. My family still requests this dessert more often than any other dessert I make.
NutriNik 6 months agoGreat recipe. To cut calories I used Splenda and butter spread. To increase fiber I used 'high fiber' maple and brown sugar Quaker oatmeal and cut back on the brown sugar by a tablespoon. Was DEEELISH! Will be making again, very soon!
