Indian Butter Chicken

Ready in 30 minutes

A fragrant and spicy classic Indian chicken dish with a silky tomato cream sauce. Indian Comfort Food!

"This dish is awesome. Some clarifications are needed though. The tomato paste should be the small container & the fenugreek should be seeds I believe. You will also need to drain the chicken before returning it to the skillet."

3/4 teaspoon ginger; grated
1 tablespoon Garam Masala

Preparation

Cook chicken in skillet over medium high heat until chicken is cooked through; set aside. Turn heat down to medium and add tomato paste and heavy cream to skillet and bring to a simmer; about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add the garlic, ginger and spices and continue to simmer for five more minutes. Then add chicken back in and cook just to reheat chicken and coat it in the sauce. Serve over Basmati rice.

Very good. I used 1/2 tsp of cayenne. Which gave it a nice kick. Served with Naan bread. See my photo:

Made this for dinner tonight and it was AMAZING!! I couldn't find fenugreek, so I took the advice from the reviews and used mustard seed in place. It was so easy to make. This will be made often!

This recipe is the best butter chicken I have ever tasted! You can adjust the heat for a milder flavour by halving the cayenne pepper found this the best option when having guests or for children.

This was a great meal and was easy to make. I had to use an option for the Fenugreek (couldn't find it at the store :-(

Amazing! Tastes just like my favorite restaurant! I had no Fenugreek, so I just used the same measurement of yellow mustard seed. Delish!
