BLACKBERRY COBBLER

Recipes »  Desserts  »  Cobblers

Easy, old-fashioned Southern cobbler recipe. Don't wash fresh berries until you're ready to use as they are most delicate. This recipe uses either fresh or frozen berries.

"Great starting point for my first cobbler! I made it my own by adding 1/2 cup more berries, only using 2/3 cups of sugar, adding 2 tbsp of brown sugar and a little fresh lemon juice. I used less butter for the dough, 3 tbsp. I also made a crunching topping with oats, flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmug, butter. " - bridgetfm

Love this recipe; it brought back sweet memories of my grandmother and living in the country as we had a BlackBerry bush. She would make a BlackBerry cobbler very similar to this one.

Very easy!! Great tasting but a little to much sugar left over that berries didn't need!

This was a simple and delicious recipe, I did add some blueberries cuz I needed to use them up. I did add a little cinnamon to the batter. I was surprised how liquidy the batter was but went with it and the batter puffed and swallowed the berries. Thank you for sharing!
