Ready in 45 minutes
You may use a combination of half the marinade ingredients and half commercial yakitori sauce or marinade, if you wish.
"This is really good marinade. My family loved it. We didn't put it on skewers. We just served it over rice and used the leftover marinade to pour over rice and beef. Next time I will slice meat really thin so it will turn out crunchy."- Britanytapani
Top-ranked recipe named "Beef Yakitori"
in 9x5 inch loaf pan, combine soy sauce, lemon juice, sugar, garlic, ginger, oil, sesame seeds and onion. Thread meat on 18 to 20 six inch bamboo skewers, pushing the skewer in and out as though sewing. Place skewered meat in marinade, turn to coat all sides. Cover and refrigerate 4 hours; drain.
Arrange on broiler pan and broil 5 to 8 inches from heating element. Broil 1.5 to 2 minutes; turn to broil 1 minute longer. Serve hot.

summerpls 8 months agoThe only thing I have a problem with is that the calorie count on this says 801 calories per serving?? That figure has to be wrong. There is no way that a lean cut of beef marinated in these ingredients would have that's my calories per serving!

Aimeelady 9 months agoIts really really great tasting, just the best marinade Ive ever had, very easy to make. People were asking for more of it to put on their rice and grilled vegetables all day. Going in favorites.

jmschaub 1 year agoVery good stuff. There is an error in the recipe though. The ingredients calls for sugar the verbage calls for oil. I went with the oil.
BrittleStar 2 years agoVery good. I used it as a steak marinade and completely forgot to ad sugar but it was still fabulous
Cmscott 2 years agoGreat recipe - very tender and flavorful. My picky eater had seconds!
