Green Bean and Mushroom Almadine

This is an easy dish and is really delicious. Enjoy! Would be

wonderful dish to take on a picnic or to a covered-dish get together.

Can be served hot or at room temperature

Original recipe makes 0
1 lb.fresh green beans; (any variety)
1 largeSweet onion; diced
0.25 cupbutter; (can use less)
0.5 poundfresh mushrooms
1 cupsour cream; (can use low fat)
0.5 cupslivered almonds
8 stripsred bell pepper
1/2 cupdried onion rings; on top

Green Bean and Mushroom Almadine Preparation

Wash beans and cut into 1" slices.

Cook beans in water for around 8 minutes or until partially cooked.

Drain and dump into greased 2 qt. casserole dish.

Saute onions and mushrooms in butter until onion are lightly browned.

Mix sour cream into onion/mushroom mix.

Spread onion/mushroom/sour cream mix on top of beans.

Place peppers on top

Sprinkle almonds on top of everything.

Bake in 350 degree oven for around 40 minutes..

When finished, top with onions
