Cook peaches slightly with sugar, butter (1 T.), and cornstarch. Set aside.
Melt 1 stick butter in pan and leave. Combine sugar, flour, baking powder, and salt. Stir in milk. Drop batter by spoonfuls into butter filled pan. Pour in peaches.
Bake at 400? for 20 - 30 minutes.
I usually double the recipe, particularly the cobbler portion.

Nandani 3 years agoI only made the crust as I needed a quick fix for my steak and kidney pie. Leaving the sugar out and dropping the Doug in mass into a large skillet I had a dead easy perfect crust. My husband loved it.
