Braised pork in dark soy sauce

| 2 tablespoonDark soy sauce |
| 1 teaspoonHoney |
| 1 teaspoonFive spices powder |
| 600 gramPork fillet; chopped into 2cm pieces |
| 2 tablespoonCanola oil |
| 1 largeBrown onion; chopped |
| 3 clovesGarlic; chopped |
| 1 Star anise |
| 375 mililitersWater |
| 2 tablespoonSugar |
| 1/2 teaspoonSalt |
Babi Tauhu Preparation
Place 1 tablespoon of the dark soy, honey and five spice in a bowl. Add the pork and toss to coat. Cover and place in the fridge for 30 minutes.
Heat the oil in a heavy-based saucepan, add onion and cook for 2 minutes. Add the garlic and star anise and cook for a further 2 minutes.
Add the pork to the pan and cook until it changes colour.
Add the water, sugar and remaining soy sauce to the pan and stir to combine. Bring the sauce to the boil. Reduce to a simmer and cook for 1 hour until the sauce is thick.
Serve with steamed rice.
