Easy and delicious

"made this for my family and it was a hit but I did try the smokey bacon. My son (22 years old) said the taste was a bit over powering so maybe next time, I will try it with just regular bacon. The sauce was quite thick so I don't know what others were talking about (check out my picture). Served with Coconut Rice, with a side of fresh cuccumers and tomatoes. Its on my favorites now." - Greco

I added a box of penne pasta with about an hour left and it absorbed up the flavored and was great. Alone this needs a side dish, but add pasta and your meal is complete.

Spurred on by the mouth watering photo and positive reviews I decided to give this recipe a go. Oh dear - The smell isn't at all appetizing, the flavour is strong and overpowering and there is something of a fatty aftertaste. I finally gave up and threw it in the bin. Sorry.

Did not like the smell while cooking but it tastes much better than it smells! Served with pasta (pasta, butter, fresh basil and oregano, salt, pepper and Parmesan)

Omg! Substituted bacon for smoked bacon. Have to say tastes like heaven. Really rustic. Served with crusty rolls. Winter has finally arrived. It's minus 2 here and this is just what the doctor ordered after bring at w

I agree, even after 6 hours it was still quite liquid - my adjustment was I quickly made some rice, and simply served the chicken dish over it. Came out great.

After the first four hours in the slow cooker, seeing how much liquid was left, I really didn't understand what was supposed to be 'casserole' about it. So I made a few tweaks and used it as spaghetti sauce! Between the three of us, we ate the ENTIRE POT!! Heres what I did a little differently:

Instead of 2 cloves of garlic I used 6. (but we LOOOOVE garlic) and I always add more than it says...

I used 3 Fresh tomatoes instead of canned because I try to stay away from canned foods and keep it as organic as possible.

I seasoned the chicken with cayenne, lemon pepper and Lawreys salt.

I added fresh rosemary and salt to taste, as the dish was cooking.

It made for a VERY THICK pasta sauce. But VERY Good. ;)
