Butter and Herb Poached Shrimp

Butter and Herb Poached Shrimp

Ready in 10 minutes

This quick and easy shrimp dish is flavorful and addictive. You won't want to stop eating them and you may even have to make more. The poaching liquid can also be used for Lobster Tails.

"What a lovely way to fix shrimp! I was looking for something different from my usual shrimp scampi, and this was just what I needed. Out of this world flavor, and so simple to make. Even Picky Wife raved about it!"

Preparation

In a sauce pan on Medium heat add water and butter. Allow the butter to completely melt ( about 2 minutes). Add Basil, Cayenne Pepper, Salt, Pepper, and Paprika. Cook on Medium heat for about 2-3 minutes stirring slowly so that the butter is infused with the flavors. Lower the heat to Low.

Add Shrimp and stir slowly until shrimp turns a nice coral color and the tails curl.

(3 Minutes with Extra Large Shrimp max 4-5 Minutes)

Be careful not to over cook the shrimp or it will become rubbery.
