Southern Fried Chicken

Recipes »  Main Dish  »  Poultry - Chicken

This is a tasty original southern fried chicken, that works great hot or cold.

"I have tried so many different recipes trying to find a good crispy fried chicken and when I stumbled upon this one, my search was done. The Chicken is crispy yet very moist. Taste better than many restaurants I've been to. I'll occasionally buy boneless chicken and make little tenders or nuggets with this recipe for my kids and then love it. It is definitely their favorite. I originally thought that the amount of hot sauce it asks for was too much but it's just right. Sometimes if I want to add a little kick, I'll add extra. Definitely recommend it." - MGarcia0504

Best fried chicken I've ever made!! I added 1/4 tsp more garlic powder and 1/4 tsp of adobo based on the other reviews and it came out great! Thanks for sharing the recipe!

This recipe was AMAZING. Best fried chicken I've ever made by far. The hot sauce doesn't make it spicy at all! The coating was a little bland though-- so I added some Season All and Kreole seasoning. I used a deep fryer, and after the oil was heated to 350, I set a timer for 10 minutes and the chicken legs were cooked perfectly!
