Seitan Stroganov
Original recipe makes 4
| 8 ounceSeitan, White Wave Traditional |
| 2 teaspoonEarth Balance |
| 8 ounceMushroom; sliced |
| 2 mediumOnions; sliced |
| 1 cloveGarlic; minced |
| 2 teaspoonEarth Balance |
| 1/2 cupWater |
| 1 teaspoonBetter Than Boullon No Beef Base |
| 1 teaspoonSalt |
| 1/4 teaspoonPepper |
| 1 cupTofutti Better than Sour Cream |
| 1/2 teaspoonMustard |
Seitan Stroganov Preparation
Cut seitan into 1 1/2" strips. Heat margarine in skillet, add mushrooms, onion and garlic. Cover and simmer til onions are tender (5-10 min). Remove veggies and liquid from skillet. Cook and stir seitan in margarine over med heat til browned (10 min). Add water, bouillon, salt and pepper. Heat to boiling; reduce heat. Cover and simmer til done 10-15 min. Add veggies. Heat to boiling; reduce heat. Stir in Tofutti and mustard. Heat through. Serve with noodles.
