Back in the day, the melon ball was my cocktail of choice. Now I've found a way to enjoy the cool flavor in a deliciously creamy, sugar-free smoothie.

1 cupplain, non-fat yogurt
0.5 cupdiet ginger ale; chilled
0.5 cuphoneydew melon; diced and frozen
0.25 tsplemonade powder, sugar-free sweetened
0.25 tsplime zest
0.125 tspStevia or to taste
0.25 tspxanthan
1 dashsalt

Ginger Melon Ball Smoothie (Low Carb) Preparation

Combine ingredients in blender and process until smooth. Adjust flavors to taste.

Just in case you attempt this recipe before the update is posted, the ingredient list should read '1/2 cup honeydew melon, diced and frozen'; not one half of a melon. That would be way more than I can fit into my single serve blender!

Guar can be substituted for the xanthan. Either will make the smoothie thick and frothy. [I posted this recipe.]
