Combine all the ingredients for the spice mixture in a small bowl. Melt butter in separate bowl. Heat a heavy nonstick skillet over high heat for 5 mins. Meanwhile, dip the fish fillets in the butter. Sprinkle them all over with the spice mixture.
Reduce heat very slightly and sear the coated fish, 2 fillets at a time until very dark brown and crispy, 2 mins per side. Repeat with the remaining 2 fish fillets. Serve immediately, garnished with lime halves.

cmorrise 4 years agoThis has a salty chili flavor to it that can be subdued a bit by reducing the CUMIN to 1/4 tsp, reducing the SALT to 1/4 tsp, and adding 1/2 tsp of SUGAR. [I posted this recipe.]
