Quick Cuban-style White Rice
In Cuba, rice is commonly flavored with onion, garlic, lime and other spices. It simmers on the stove and is usually served alongside Cuban-style Black beans, plantains, shredded beef or pork, chicken and various other Cuban delicacies.

Quick Cuban-style White Rice Preparation
Place water, garlic cloves and olive oil in a large pan and bring to a boil. Once boiling, add the rice, turn down heat to low and cover pan. Simmer for 18 minutes or until fluffy. Sprinkle with chopped fresh cilantro, if desired.
