Original recipe makes 4
4 Hoagie Rolls
1 packageSalami; Sliced
1 packageHam; Sliced
1 packagePepperoni; Sliced
1 packageCheddar cheese; shredded
1 packageMozzarella Cheese; Shredded
1 Tomato; Sliced (slices cut in half)
1 Green Pepper; Sliced
1 jarDill Pickles; Sliced
2 Onions; diced (preferably sweet white)
Olive Oil
1 salt and pepper; to taste

Garbage Grinder Sandwiches Preparation

Place open Hoagie rolls on baking sheet. Layer Salami, Ham and Pepperoni on each open-faced bun (be sure to cover both sides of the roll with meats and cheeses). Top with shredded cheeses. Bake at 500° until cheese is bubbly.

Top with tomato, pickles, green peppers and onion. Drizzle olive oil lightly over onions. Add Salt and Pepper if desired.

We pile on lots of diced onions! The more the better!
