Creamy Chicken Marsala

A different take on the traditional Chicken Marsala with a creamy sauce for your chicken and pasta. This has been a huge hit with family and friends.

Ingredients

Are you making this? 
2 tbsp butter
1 tbsp oil
4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
4 slices mozzarella cheese
1 tbsp parsley
3 cloves minced; garlic
3 tbsp Marsala Wine
1 can cream of mushroom or cream of chicken soup
1 cup heavy cream
1 can mushrooms; sliced or chopped, (optional)
Salt and pepper; to taste
Pasta; (penne’ is preferred)

Preparation

Preheat oven to 200.

Brown chicken in oil and butter till done and juices run clear. Sprinkle with parsley. Place in oven-proof pan and cover each piece of chicken with with a slice of cheese and place in oven to keep warm.

To original pan, add garlic and brown slightly. Then add Marsala and stir in heavy cream into pan. Stir in soup and mushrooms.

Cook 3 minutes or until sauce thickens.

Serve sauce over chicken and pasta.

Normally not a fan of recipes with soup but this was surprisingly good.

I tried this with cheddar cheese and chives instead of parsley...wow what a great recipe

I was very happy with how this recipe turned out. I would recommend that you make a bit more sauce than the recipe calls for. The sauce makes the dish. Regular chicken and regular penne with an amazing sauce is all this is. Again, I was very happy with how this recipe turned out but just make sure there's enough sauce.

Very good. I made it with mashed potatoes instead of pasta. Sauce was very flavorful and rich. I also used fresh mushrooms.
